After Id Software open sourced the code of Doom, the game has been ported to many and many platforms. Mozilla devs published a javascript version online, enabling a web based version playable in your browser. This won't be the fastest option available, but makes for a good test how javascript is performing in your browser. No extra plugins required and also this source code is available under GPL license. |
