YaCy is a scalable open source P2P based web search engine, built in Java. YaCy uses a distributed integrated web crawler and implemented an index sharing method similar to peer-to-peer file sharing. By sharing web index information with other peers, YaCy is resistant against censoring the same way as P2P filesharing is resistant against deletion. |
