Thanks to the creative and generous minds of xkcd.com we've been able to spice up the walls of text around here a bit. Our visitors can enjoy a laugh from xkcd: A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language. We'll occasionally add one of their recent comics to our home page. Click on the images to visit the xkcd.com website.
Xkcd offers their creative work under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 2.5 License. This means people are free to copy, share and reuse these comics for non-profit publications, but not to sell them.
More detailed information from xkcd on their licensing approach here. We love xkcd for it. I hope we can get more people to enjoy their geeky humor.
Currently, we select recent horizontally orientated comics for our homepage, not to mess up the page layout too much. I expect around one or two updates per week. If it turns out people like these comics here, we might find uses for the other, usually bigger formats. This means Xkcd offers much more updates than we do here, plus there's a huge archive online there. If you like more of 'em, plunge into the xkcd.com website.
